The distribution team takes on the crucial responsibility of making sure our papers go to various locations around campus and the city on each day that we publish.
The distribution team’s main objective is to make data-driven decisions on where to place papers in order to maximize readership. During the semester, distribution analysts will gain analytical, problem-solving and communication skills in the field of operations that are vital to all successful businesses and organizations. On a day-to-day basis, analysts will be working with the large return-rate data set and generating succinct weekly and monthly distribution reports. Additionally, analysts will be in charge of implementing their own short and long-term projects, such as Adoptive Rack and Headline Analysis. The skills picked up on the distribution team can be used in a multitude of industries, such as consulting, data analytics and marketing. In fact, alumni have worked at companies such as Cornerstone and PwC.
Some understanding of Excel, Google Analytics, Google Sheets and Google Docs is preferred.
