So you're ready to get started at The Daily Californian but don't know how to get your foot in the door? No worries.

If it's early in the semester, introduce yourself to us at one of the many campus events we'll be at. The best event to attend is one of our recruitment meetings in the office. At these meetings, editors and managers describe our open positions and the hiring processes for each department as well as meet prospective candidates.

If it's later in the semester, review the entry positions and print out an application. We recommend bringing your completed application in person to our on campus office in 600 Eshleman Hall, located on Bancroft Way just below Telegraph Avenue.

The receptionist on duty can find the person most appropriate for receiving your application. Late afternoons are the best time to stop by as managers and editors are likely to be in the office.

Otherwise, if you have any questions about editorial positions, you can e-mail Emma Radovich at development@dailycal.org. Business job openings and application process information can be found listed on CalJobs at http://career.berkeley.edu.

Good luck!
