The Daily Californian, like any other newspaper, is divided into an editorial side and a business side. The editorial side produces all nonadvertising content and consists of the following departments: arts and entertainment, blog, design, news, opinion, night, multimedia, photo, projects, social media, sports and The Weekender magazine. See below for a thorough description of each position.
Students from all backgrounds and majors are encouraged to apply. Applicants do not need to be on campus to apply; all work can be done remotely. For summer application cycles, positions are open to high school students and non-UC Berkeley students.

Applications close May 27 at 11:59 p.m.
*If applicants wish to apply to two positions in different divisions (e.g., editorial and business), they must indicate in both applications which division position is their first preference and second preference, respectively. Applicants will only be accepted to one position.
